I've said before that I enjoyed Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg's PREACHER adaptation, despite some hiccups along the way. I, like many, wish it got into the road trip aspect sooner, and thought some adaptation choices were suspect (like how Tulip and Cassidy's relationship develops). But, overall, I like the cast, I like the tone, and I think it captures the anarchic spirit of the comic, if not necessarily its text (which, to be fair, was flawed as well – no matter how groundbreaking or brilliant).
And it seems that with the second season, things are just getting crazier and more action-packed. Now, let's take a look at a new featurette, which shows off more new footage, as well as the cast and crew talking about what to expect:
Weirdly, besides the New Orleans location, I can't pick out any specific scenes from the comic. I just hope it doesn't stray too much, but I do appreciate them forging their own path. Let's just hope it's the right one.
Meanwhile, PREACHER season 2 will return for a second season on AMC June 19th.
