I've been hearing bits and pieces of news here and there about SUMMER OF '84, but truthfully didn't pay it too much notice. No reason, really. Just not enough info to go off of. That said, after peeping these new posters and BTS stills the film has shot to the (near) top of my must-see list.
For those who might not know, SUMMER OF '84 is the upcoming new movie from the directing team behind the neo-classic TURBO KID. And if that flick was an indication of what we can expect from SUMMER OF '84 then I think we're in for a true new genre treat once the film hits.
Think a more slasher-horror based STRANGER THINGS. I'm down as hell.

SUMMER OF '84 synopsis:
A horror-thriller set in 1984 and centering on 15-year-old neighborhood conspiracy theorist Davey Armstrong who suspects his police officer neighbor might be the serial killer all over the local news. He and his three best friends begin an investigation that soon puts them in danger.
SUMMER OF '84 is directed by François Simard, Anouk Whissell and Yoann-Karl Whissell (RKSS) from a script by Matt Leslie and Stephen J. Smith. The film stars Graham Verchere, Rich Sommer, Tiera Skovbye, Judah Lewis, Caleb Emery, and Cory Gruter-Andrew.
