We’ve got a double whammy of poster debut’s today, featuring the comic book sequel RED 2 and Steven Spielberg’s biopic of LINCOLN. Both posters fit well within their respective genres and exude the resonance we’d expect.
Directed by Dean Parisot (GALAXY QUEST) and starring Bruce Wilis, Anthony Hopkins, Helen Mirren, John Malkovich, Mary Louise-Parker, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Neal McDonough and Byung Hun-Lee, RED 2 is currently filming with an eye for release in 2013.

Steven Spielberg’s LINCOLN stars Daniel Day Lewis as the renowned leader, joined by a massive cast, including Tommy Lee Jones, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jackie Earle Haley, David Strathairn, Sally Field, James Spader, John Hawkes, and Jared Harris. With just two months to go before release and nary a snippet of footage thus far, it seems that Spielberg is riding the tide of his subject, cast, and esteem to market this one, although I’d anticipate a trailer very soon.
