Poster round-up: New one sheets for Looper, Killing Them Softly, and Solomon Kane

Today we have three new posters for your perusal. Two of them are alternate designs and one is the final poster design. The funny thing is, the final poster is the weakest of the three.

Keeping in line with the recent viral goodies for the upcoming LOOPER, players of the online viral game have unveiled the first alternate poster for the movie. Featuring Joseph Gordon-Levitt with a big ass hole in his chest, this could be a cool marketing design or possible foreshadowing for the plot.

With only a month until LOOPER’s September 28th release date, I am sure we will see more reveals courtesy of the Looper Network online game.

Next up is the final one sheet for KILLING THEM SOFTLY. The teaser poster for the Brad Pitt film was one of the best in recent memory. This new poster looks like it was thrown together using Microsoft Paint. I guess that is one way to avoid a Photoshop disaster.

KILLING THEM SOFTLY follows three dumb guys who think they’re smart rob a Mob protected card game, causing the local criminal economy to collapse. Brad Pitt plays the enforcer hired to track them down and restore order. The film also features Richard Jenkins, James Gandolfini, Ray Liotta, Scoot McNairy, Ben Mendelsohn, Vincent Curatola. Max Casella, Trevor Long, Slaine and Sam Shepard

KILLING THEM SOFTLY hits theaters on October 19th.

Lastly, we have the alternate poster for SOLOMON KANE. When the trailer for the movie was shown during Comic Con, many of you mentioned that it had already been released everywhere except for the US, and for good reason. The movie looks very low budget and I am shocked that there is any kind of theatrical release for the movie. However, this alternate poster is much better than the movie deserves. Definitely my favorite of these three, but still not good enough for me to spend any dough on SOLOMON KANE.

SOLOMON KANE will hit VOD on August 24th and theaters on September 28th.
