New, stylish poster released for HBO’s Lovecraft Country

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

I've said before how excited I am to see HBO's big-budget adaptation of Mark Ruff's LOVECRAFT COUNTRY novel (BUY NOW), and everything so far I've seen has been top notch – from the casting, to the trailers, to now the most recent poster, which you can see below:

Love it! Very stylish and evocative. Hopefully it bodes well for the show itself. Here's the official synopsis:

The series follows Atticus Freeman (Jonathan Majors) as he joins up with his friend Letitia (Jurnee Smollett-Bell) and his Uncle George (Courtney B. Vance) to embark on a road trip across 1950s Jim Crow America in search of his missing father (Michael Kenneth Williams). This begins a struggle to survive and overcome both the racist terrors of white America and the terrifying monsters that could be ripped from a Lovecraft paperback.

Meanwhile, LOVECRAFT COUNTRY – produced by Jordan Peele and J.J. Abrams and starring Jonathan Majors, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, and Courtney B. Vance – will premiere on HBO August 16th.

So what do you guys think? Fans of the novel? If so, like what you see so far? Either way, sound off below!
