Update: Trailer and poster for The Interview with Seth Rogen & James Franco

Update: The first trailer has landed for THE INTERVIEW and it's pretty damn funny. It's great to see Franco and Rogen together again; it's always a guaranteed laugh. The first trailer does a great job at setting up the story and surprisingly shows off a lot of anticipated action. The boys are attempting to assassinate Kim Jong-un, I say bring it on!

The first poster for Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s new film THE INTERVIEW has been released. There is anticipation of a trailer this week so keep it here to check that out as well. THE INTERVIEW is an action-comedy starring James Franco and Rogen; the pair is delightfully at attention in the poster below along with a great credit line at the top.

Here’s the official synopsis for THE INTERVIEW:

In the action-comedy The Interview, Dave Skylark (James Franco) and his producer Aaron Rapoport (Seth Rogen) run the popular celebrity tabloid TV show “Skylark Tonight.” When they discover that North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un is a fan of the show, they land an interview with him in an attempt to legitimize themselves as journalists. As Dave and Aaron prepare to travel to Pyongyang, their plans change when the CIA recruits them, perhaps the two least-qualified men imaginable, to assassinate Kim Jong-un.

They nailed the North Korea setting here and something already tells me this movie might stir up some controversy for the players involved before it's even released. I don’t think they appreciate satire and irony in East Asia as much as we do, but I could be totally wrong. As far as dictatorial propaganda posters go though, this one is great!

THE INTERVIEW opens October 10th 2014.
