A slew of members from the boy bands you either loved or hated back in the late '90s have joined forces to make the sort of movie that you might not expect from them, a post-apocalyptic Western zombie movie called DEAD 7.
Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter co-wrote the screenplay with Sxv'leithan Essex and co-directed the film with Danny Roew. The story concerns
a ragtag group of gunslingers as they try to make their way in a post-apocalyptic world. The twist to this world is that it’s just not barren and dangerous, it’s also filled with flesh-eating zombies. The gunslingers will find themselves stranded in a town and forced to make a choice on either to save the citizens of the town or save themselves.
Carter also took on the lead role, surrounding himself with a cast that includes his wife Lauren Kitt Carter; fellow Backstreet Boys A.J. McLean and Howie Dorough; N' Sync's Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick; Jeff Timmons of 98 Degrees; Jacob Underwood, Erik-Michael Estrada, Dan Miller, and Trevor Penick of O-Town; Delious Kennedy from All-4-One; Jon Secada, Frenchie Davis, Chloe Lattanzi, Carrie Keagan, and Debra Wilson.
The poster for DEAD 7 has now made its debut online and can be seen below. Along with this comes the announcement of when the Asylum-produced feature will be making its premiere on Syfy: April 1st.
No, this is not an April Fools joke.
