Pom Klementieff lights the fuse for Mission: Impossible 7 and 8

From the stars to a secret organization of covert badasses, let it be known that GURADIANS OF THE GALAXY star Pom Klementieff has joined the cast of Christopher McQuarrie's MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 7 and MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 8.

McQuarrie, who previously helmed MISSION" IMPOSSIBLE 5 – ROGUE NATION and MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – FALLOUT, announced Klementieff's involvement via Instagram on Tuesday by posting a stylish photo of the actress alongside the words "How do you say femme fatale in French?"

You can check out McQuarries' post below:

Femme fatale, you say? Might this suggest that Klementieff will be giving Tom Cruise's Ethan Hunt, as the French say, a spot of difficulté in the upcoming sequels? I sure hope so, because that would also present an opportunity for Klementieff to go toe-to-toe with Isla Faust (Rebecca Ferguson), who's set to return for more impossible action as well.

Of course, Klementieff is no stranger to the action genre after starring in Marvel's GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2, AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR and AVENGERS: ENDGAME. And as impressive as those films are, it's worth a reminder that Klementieff cut her Hollywood teeth by appearing in Spike Lee's 2013 remake of the 2003 Korean cult-smash OLD BOY. In the film, Klementieff starred opposite Sharlto Copley's Adrian / The Stranger as Haeng-Bok, the villain's assistant and lover. It was in that ruthless role that Klementieff demonstrated her ability to command attention, and draw all eyes in the room to her hypnotic form. As such, her upcoming Mission: Impossible role should serve to remind to us all that Klementieff is on the rise, and not to be baisée with.

MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 7 is looking to go full-throttle in theaters on July 23, 2021, while MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE is slated for an August 25, 2022 release.
