Being able to tell when people are lying is different from a power I would want. White lies can be harmless, but some truths are devastating, and the repairs necessary to move on come at a high mental price. No, thank you. In Peacock‘s Poker Face trailer, Natasha Lyonne (Russian DollSlums of Beverly Hills, Orange is the New Black) is Charlie Cale, a person who can see through people’s bullshit and extract truth no matter the circumstances. Created by Rian Johnson (Knives OutLooperStar Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi), Poker Face finds Charlie hitting the road with her Plymouth Barracuda and, with every stop, encountering a new cast of characters and strange crimes she can’t help but solve.

As you can tell from the Poker Face trailer, the cast is jam-packed with seasoned players, including Adrien Brody, Angel Desai, Audrey Corsa, Benjamin Bratt, Brandon Michael Hall, Charles Melton, Chelsea Frei, Cherry Jones, Chloë Sevigny, Clea DuVall, Colton Ryan, Danielle MacDonald, Dascha Polanco, Ellen Barkin, Hong Chau, Jasmine Aiyana Garvin, Jameela Jamil, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Judith Light, and Leslie Silva. Luis Guzmán, Megan Suri, Niall Cunningham, Nicholas Cirillo, Nick Nolte, Reed Birney, Rhea Perlman, Ron Perlman, Rowan Blanchard, S. Epatha Merkerson, Shane Paul McGhie, Simon Helberg, Stephanie Hsu, Tim Blake Nelson, and Tim Meadows also star.

In addition to her starring role Lyonne also executive produces alongside Johnson, Ram Bergman, Nora Zuckerman, Lila Zuckerman, Nena Rodrigue, and Iain B. Macdonald. Maya Danielle and Renfrew Behren co-executive produce.

Rian Johnson is one of Hollywood’s most-watched creators, especially after his Knives Out sequel, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, became one of Netflix’s biggest movies. The Netflix Top 10 website lists Glass Onion at the top of their viewing list for the past two weeks since its release. In the first week, the Daniel Craig comedy debuted at number one with a recorded 82,140,000 hours viewed. The subsequent week had the ensemble Rian Johnson mystery at number one again, with 127,250,000 hours watched. In the same week, the preceding film, Knives Out, had also cracked the top 10 at number 3 with a total of 16,760,000 hours viewed. Notably, it’s now the 10th most-viewed Netflix movie ever and seems set to climb the list of titles over the next few weeks.
