Planes, Trains & Automobiles, Will Smith, Kevin Hart, Paramount Pictures, remake

Paramount Pictures has cast Will Smith and Kevin Hart for their remake of the classic John Hughes 1987 road trip comedy PLANES, TRAINS & AUTOMOBILES.

The original starred Steve Martin and John Candy as inharmonious traveling companions who will stop at nothing to make it home before Thanksgiving dinner is served. Throughout their journey, the pair encounter an alarming amount of roadblocks from stolen cabs to broken trains to unsympathetic car rental clerks and more! Built on a solid foundation of laughs, Hughes' film packs a tremendous amount of heart, as well as having one of the best plot reveals in cinematic history.

As a part of her feature debut, Aeysha Carr will pen the script. Previously, Carr has written for the NBC comedy BROOKLYN NINE-NINE and is currently writing Hulu's upcoming series WOKE.
