Pinhead returns! Clive Barker’s The Scarlet Gospels lands release date

At long last, Pinhead returns! Clive Barker has taken to Facebook to share that his long awaited novel "The Scarlet Gospels", which pits "The Hellbound Heart"/HELLRAISER's Pinhead against "The Last Ilusion"/LORD OF ILLUSIONS' Harry D'Amour in a good vs. evil saga that takes us straight to Hell, has finally landed a release date from St. Martin's Press.

Our last update on "The Scarlet Gospels" came more than one year ago when Barker shared that the tome was finally complete, and now we've learned that St. Martin's Press will be releasing the novel on May 19, 2015. Per Barker's Facebook:

Harry D'Amour (the hard-boiled paranormal detective from the movie Lord of Illusions) going head to head with the Hellpriest known as Pinhead (in his first literary appearance since The Hellbound Heart). A roller coaster of terror that explains who the Cenobites are, where they came from… and how their world comes to an end. The long-awaited final chapter in the Hellraiser mythos… AVAILABLE MAY 19th 2015 FROM ST. MARTIN'S PRESS.

Barker hasn't shared much about the narrative except this: it's a HORROR NOVEL with the graphic violence and perverse eroticism of the most intense tales from the Books Of Blood. Sounds good to me!
