Earlier this month, a serial killer thriller called Squealer was given a theatrical and digital release. You can watch the trailer for that one HERE. Squealer drew inspiration from the story of Robert Pickton, a Canadian pig farmer who was charged with killing 26 women (but claimed to have killed 49). He would feed the bodies of his victims to the pigs. Just a couple weeks after Squealer made its way out into the world, another serial killer thriller inspired by the Pickton case has arrived in theatres, and you can watch the trailer for this one, which is called Pig Killer, in the embed above.
Pig Killer is currently playing in the following theatres:
Laemmle LA
Film Noir Brooklyn
Reeding Berkeley
Vancouver – Van City Oaks Cinema Center
It will be receiving a VOD and Blu-ray release next week, on November 21st. Copies are available for pre-order on Amazon.
Directed by Chad Ferrin, Pig Killer graphically depicts Pickton’s felonious farmhouse of rape, torture, slaughter, and dismemberment of almost fifty women. With his herculean hog, Balthazar, by his side, Willy and his menagerie of colorful cohorts terrorized Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside for almost two decades until his 2002 arrest that uncovered the most bizarre series of murders Canada has ever seen.
The film stars Jake Busey (The Frighteners), Bai Ling (The Crow), Lew Temple (The Devil’s Rejects), Kate Patel (Light Visions), Ginger Lynn Allen (Murdercise), Michael Paré (Streets of Fire), Elina Madison (Someone’s Knocking at the Door), Cyril O’Reilly (Dance of the Damned), Robert Miano (Donnie Brasco), Robert Rhine (Exorcism at 60,000 Feet), James Russo (Django Unchained), Susan Priver (Night Caller), Silvia Spross (Giallo), Scott Vogel (All of It Happened on a Thursday), Cassandra Gava (Conan the Barbarian), Kurt Bonzell (Emperor of the Free World), Jon Budinoff (Law & Order: LA), and Gerard McMahon, who is best known for contributing the song “Cry Little Sister” to the soundtrack of The Lost Boys.
