Pierce Brosnan, drug dealer? Hard to imagine initially, but when you consider this is no ordinary street drug, it becomes a bit easier to swallow. Brosnan has just joined the psychological thriller URGE, reports Deadline, where he'll indeed be pushing some dangerous stuff.
URGE follows a group of friends, who while on holiday at an island destination, take part in a new designer drug that makes them lose their ability to control their urges.
Brosnan will play "the creator and gate-keeper of the island’s new drug."
Aaron Kaufman, who produced MACHETE KILLS and SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR, is directing from a script he co-wrote with Jason Zumwalt. Skip Williamson (Underworld) and Mark Neveldine (Crank) will produce the project through their Blackmrkt Incorporated banner while Bridgeworks Media Capital, TCI and Tresoro Ventures will finance.
