Pieces of Her: Toni Collette, Bella Heathcote featured in images from Netflix thriller

Toni Collette (Nightmare Alley) and Bella Heathcote (Relic) star in the upcoming Netflix thriller series Pieces of Her, and a batch of images have arrived online to give us a look at them in character. These images can be seen below.

Based on a novel by Karin Slaughter (pick up a copy HERE), Pieces of Her is scheduled to begin streaming on Netflix as of March 4th. The eight episode series has the following synopsis:

In a sleepy Georgia town a random act of violence sets off an unexpected chain of events for 30-year-old Andy Oliver and her mother Laura. Desperate for answers, Andy embarks on a dangerous journey across America, drawing her towards the dark, hidden heart of her family.

Collette and Heathcote are joined in the cast by Jessica Barden, Jacob Scipio, Joe Dempsie, Aaron Jeffery, Omari Hardwick, Gil Birmingham, David Wenham, Calum Worthy, Nicholas Burton, and Terry O’Quinn.

What if the person you thought you knew best turns out to be someone you never knew at all . . . ?

Andrea knows everything about her mother, Laura. Because we all know our mothers, don’t we?

But all that changes when a trip to the mall explodes into violence and Andrea suddenly sees a completely different side to Laura. The Pieces of Her series was written by showrunner Charlotte Stoudt, who serves as an executive producer alongside Slaughter, director Minkie Spiro, Janice Williams, Lesli Linka Glatter, and Made Up Stories’ Bruna Papandrea, Steve Hutensky and Casey Haver.

I’m not sure just how dark or horrific Pieces of Her will get, but it sounds interesting nonetheless. I’ll probably be watching this show at some point.
