Production on the UNTITLED HAN SOLO STAR WARS ANTHOLOGY FILM officially got underway early last week, but there's still at least one more role to fill. Variety reports that Phoebe Waller-Bridge is currently being eyed to to take on what is being called a key role in the Christopher Miller and Phil Lord film.
Most recently, Phoebe Waller-Bridge won critical acclaim with her role in the BBC/Amazon series Fleabag, which she also wrote, but should she win the role, the upcoming STAR WARS spinoff would be her biggest project to date. The actress is currently in talks for what will be a CGI character who will be a "significant part of the ensemble, similar to key Star Wars characters in the past like Chewbacca, C-3P0 and most recently, Alan Tudyk’s K-2SO in “Rogue One." Phoebe Waller-Bridge would join Alden Ehrenreich, Donald Glover, Emilia Clarke and Woody Harrelson in the STAR WARS spinoff.
The UNTITLED HAN SOLO STAR WARS ANTHOLOGY FILM is set to hit theaters on May 25, 2018, but there have been rumours that it will be pushed back to December.
