Deadline is reporting that Phil Lord and Chris Miller are currently working on a treatment for Warner Bros. and DC's THE FLASH. The duo aren't attached to write or direct the comic book movie as THE LEGO MOVIE and JUMP STREET directors haven't decided on their next big screen project yet, but I doubt Warner Bros. would say no if they expressed interest in helming the film.
THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER's Ezra Miller is set to play the Scarlet Speedster, although it's not clear if his Flash will be Barry Allen or Wally West. Miller's casting seems to be a bit of a sore spot for some fans of the character (and many would rather see Grant Gustin reprise his role from the CW series), but I think he will do just fine as the fastest man alive.
It was recently rumored that JOHN WICK's Chad Stahelski and David Leitch are being eyed to direct a DC movie, and while I think they would do a fantastic job with a solo Batman flick, perhaps Warner Bros. and DC want them for THE FLASH. Who do you want to direct Ezra Miller in THE FLASH?
THE FLASH will speed into theaters on March 23, 2018.
