So this is neat! It seems Broke Horror Fan will be releasing a limited edition, officially-licensed VHS release of the cult horror-comedy PG: Psycho Goreman, which fits its retro, B-movie aesthetic perfectly! It will be available March 16th!
Here's the official description:
The VHS comes with three variants. A standard edition with art by Blitz Cadet (50 stocked), a variant with art by Adam Brooks (limited to 50). And also a big box edition with art by Graham Humphreys (limited to 50).
Each tape includes a letter from Kostanski. Stay tuned after Psycho Goreman for special features. Interview with director Steven Kostanski, Inside the Creature Shop featurette, and also Miniature Magic featurette. Additional extras to be confirmed.
For optimal VHS viewing, the film is cropped from its original aspect ratio to 4:3 full frame. RLJE Films officially licensed the release which Kostanski also approved.
And here's the official synopsis:
Siblings Mimi and Luke unwittingly resurrect an ancient alien overlord who was entombed on Earth millions of years ago after a failed attempt to destroy the universe. They nickname the evil creature Psycho Goreman (or PG for short) and use the magical amulet they discovered to force him to obey their childish whims. It isn’t long before PG’s reappearance draws the attention of intergalactic friends and foes from across the cosmos and a rogues’ gallery of alien combatants converges in small-town suburbia to battle for the fate of the galaxy.
Meanwhile, PG: Psycho Goreman – directed by Steven Kostanski and starring Nita-Josee Hanna, Owen Myre, Adam Brooks, Alexis Hancey and Matthew Ninaber – is currently available to view on digital and Blu-ray/DVD right now (BUY IT HERE!)
