Marvel's AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR and its currently untitled sequel already boasts the largest cast of any Marvel Cinematic Universe flick yet, but it seems that the studio isn't quite finished filling the ranks. Variety reports that Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones) is currently being eyed to join the massive cast of Marvel's upcoming two-part epic.
The outlet states that talks with Peter Dinklage are still in the early stages, but that the actor is up for what is being called a "key role." Dinklage recently completed work on Game of Thrones' upcoming seventh season, which opened up his schedule enough to allow him to appear in AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR. Although we don't know which character Dinklage will be playing as Marvel declined to comment, Variety's sources indicate that Dinklage is expected to appear in both INFINITY WAR and its sequel. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo (CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR), the AVENGERS sequel will include just about every Marvel character under the sun, making Peter Dinklage, should he sign up, one of the few new actors to join the franchise's biggest film.
Any ideas on who Peter Dinklage might be playing?
AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR is set for a May 4, 2018 release and a sequel will follow on May 3, 2019.
