I don't know about you guys but this movie looks ten-types of freaky to this here horror fan. And I'm not even what you'd call an arachnophobic kinda guy. That should tell you something. Brrr. Described as a creepy-crawly creature feature based on the centuries-old poem, the movie weaves a sinister web of family drama, personal demons, and a horrifying monster.
More specifically, the follows tells the tale of
Kara, a private nurse, and single mother who moves from the big city to the quiet countryside with her two children, 13-year-old Jesse, and 8-year-old Cambria, to live with and take care of an elderly man with multiple sclerosis. Things seem normal enough until Jesse discovers a mysterious old relic in the old man's house, leading to unexpected and horrifying things coming to life
Micah Gallo directed and produced the film from a screenplay he co-wrote along with J. Bryan Dick and Jason Alvino. Cory Neal, Geno Tazioli, Adam W. Rosen, Brandon K. Hogan, Jonathan Helmuth, and Tyler A. Hawes are the movie's executive producers. Strange Vision, Throughline Films, and Paradox Film Group are the productions companies behind the creature feature which stars Elizabeth Roberts, Bruce Davison, Denise Crosby, Arman Darbo, and Chloe Perrin. The film will be opening in select theaters, digital and on VOD everywhere from Shout! Studios on August 30th, 2019.
