Fans of fantasy, steel yourselves! Disney’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians teaser trailer is here to whisk you away to a world overrun with gods, monsters, and mystery! The new promo gives us a fantastic look at the latest adaptation of Rick Riordan’s best-selling novel series, complete with the polish, uncanny effects, and world-building the Percy Jackson saga deserves.

Based on Disney Hyperion’s best-selling book series by award-winning author Rick Riordan, “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” tells the unbelievable story of a 12-year-old modern demigod, Percy Jackson, who’s just coming to terms with his newfound divine powers when the sky god Zeus accuses him of stealing his master lightning bolt. With help from his friends Grover and Annabeth, Percy must embark on an adventure of a lifetime to find it and restore order to Olympus.

In today’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians teaser trailer, Jackson (Walker Scobell) discovers an enchanted world hidden behind a veil of everyday reality where gods and monsters battle for dominance. As the footage continues, we visit Camp Half-Blood, meet exciting characters, and uncover an intricate mystery about Percy’s lineage.

Fans of Riordan’s work will be pleased to hear that the author will serve as a writer on the pilot episode alongside Jon Steinberg, which James Bobin directs. Steinberg will oversee the series with his producing partner, Dan Shotz. Steinberg and Shotz serve as executive producers alongside Bobin, Riordan, Rebecca Riordan, Bert Salke, Monica Owusu-Breen, Jim Rowe, and The Gotham Group’s Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Jeremy Bell, and D.J.
