Peep the first production photo and BTS video from AMC’s The Walking Dead!

There’s no denying that we’ve been hit with a spate of news lately for AMC’s awesome sounding zombie series “The Walking Dead.” In the last week alone, we’ve been lucky enough to make eyes with the first behind-the-scenes zombie photos from the series, which were pretty fuc*kin’ rad in their own right. Only days after, we not only landed some sweet evolutionary concept art for the show, we got a little insight into Frank Darabont’s inspiration for the series (NOTLD). Hell, even today we’re tipped off that Henry Lee Lucas himself Michael Rooker has boarded the zombie-ship. Whew…that’s a lot of dope to smoke!

But we ain’t stopping there folks. Oh hell no. You see, it appears an first official production photo from the show has been released by AMC, and boy does it look delicious!

But that’s still ain’t all we have! AMC also issued a cool little behind-the-scenes video from the set of the show, which you can also find below. Listen to executive produce Gale Anne Hurd as she talks about the rigors of “Zombie School,” before Darabont himself jumps in and adds a level of coolness only he can. We also hear from FX specialist Greg Nicotero, as well as zombie choreographer Matt Kent, as they discuss the various challenges of brining a believable zombie to life. All pretty cool shite!

Based on Robert Kirkman’s graphic novel, “The Walking Dead” picks up after:

An epidemic of apocalyptic proportions has swept the globe, causing the dead to rise and feed on the living. In a matter of months, society has crumbled: There is no government, no grocery stores, no mail delivery, no cable TV. Rick Grimes finds himself one of the few survivors in this terrifying future. A couple months ago he was a small town cop who had never fired a shot and only ever saw one dead body. Separated from his family, he must now sort through all the death and confusion to try and find his wife and son. In a world ruled by the dead, we are forced to finally begin living.

“The Walking Dead” premieres on AMC this October.
