There’s been a teaser and an international trailer, but now we’re being shown the first full domestic trailer for the film, and it continues to look oddly cool and absolutely bizarre. There’s something to that very driving music that’s been repeatedly used now for the film’s trailers that gives it such an unusually interesting tone (coupled of course with the weird-as-f*ck imagery). Whatever it is, it’s Almodóvar. The guy is one of the masters in international cinema, so this for me is a must see.

Synopsis: Ever since his wife was burned in a car crash, Dr. Robert Ledgard, an eminent plastic surgeon, has been interested in creating a new skin with which he could have saved her. After twelve years, he manages to cultivate a skin that is a real shield against every assault. In addition to years of study and experimentation, Robert needed a further three things: no scruples, an accomplice and a human guinea pig. Scruples were never a problem.
