What with all the commotion over American Horror Story: Hotel, Ryan Murphy's new horror-comedy anthology Scream Queens has been given short shrift in the media lately. Perhaps in an effort to change that, Murphy has tweeted an intriguing new casting announcement:
Happy to announce that PATRICK SCHWARZENEGGER has joined the cast of SCREAM QUEENS pic.twitter.com/hmcPWMGwqQ

21-year-old Patrick Schwarzenegger, who will be appearing in the upcoming flick SCOUTS GUIDE TO THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE, will presumably be playing a preppy frat guy if the show continues its trend of male casting. However, details haven't been released yet, so he could be anything. A campus police deputy with a bone to pick? An escaped mental patient? The son of the Terminator? Anything is possible at this point.
In Season 1 of Scream Queens:
Wallace University is rocked by a string of murders. Kappa House, the most sought-after sorority for pledges, is ruled with an iron fist (in a pink glove) by its Queen Bitch, Chanel Oberlin (Emma Roberts). But when anti-Kappa Dean Munsch (Jamie Lee Curtis) decrees that sorority pledging must be open to all students, and not just the school’s silver-spooned elite, all hell is about to break loose, as a devil-clad killer begins wreaking havoc, claiming one victim, one episode at a time.
The first installment in Fox's planned anthology, Scream Queens also stars Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Keke Palmer, Skyler Samuels, Nasim Perdad, Billie Lourde, Oliver Hudson, Diego Boneta, Glen Powell, Lucien Laviscount, Ariana Grande & Nick Jonas.
The show debuts with a two hour premiere on Tuesday, September 22nd.
