It’s not enough to watch s shaky-cam flick on the big screen but you could so much better on something bigger. Bigger is better right? Well that’s exactly the mentality Paramount is having right now. Paramount Pictures is going for the big bucks this year with its release of PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 2 on IMAX screens. Don’t believe me, check out the release below!
Paramount Pictures’ Paranormal Activity 2, the follow-up to the hit supernatural thriller released in 2009, will be released to 161 digital IMAX(R) theaters in domestic and international territories on October 22nd, simultaneously with the film’s release. The film’s limited IMAX release will be digitally re-mastered into the image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience(R) with IMAX DMR(R) technology.
“Paramount has delivered another great movie that we believe will really resonate with IMAX fans,” said IMAX CEO Richard L. Gelfond. “The growth of our digital theater network has allowed us greater flexibility in programming, and we’re very pleased to bring this highly anticipated sequel to the ever-increasing IMAX audience.”

Paranormal Activity 2 is produced by Jason Blum and Oren Peli. Story is by Michael R. Perry and screenplay is by Christopher Landon. The film is directed by Tod Williams.
