In these dark times, it's not food or toilet paper we crave, it's entertainment! As theaters across the nation have shut down, we've seen studios bump up the early release of many films, including THE INVISIBLE MAN, THE HUNT, EMMA, BIRDS OF PREY, BLOODSHOT, ONWARD, THE GENTLEMEN, THE WAY BACK, and I STILL BELIEVE, and Paramount Pictures is the latest studio to join in as they've announced that SONIC THE HEDGEHOG will be available for Digital purchase on March 31st.
The film features the voice of Ben Schwartz as Sonic, who is a super-powered blue hedgehog from an alternate dimension who has been hiding out on earth to hide from those who want to harness his super speed. When he loses his magical golden rings, which allow him to travel between dimensions, he turns to a small-town cop (James Marsden) for help. SONIC THE HEDGEHOG was released in theaters on February 14th, and in that time, managed to score $306.6 million worldwide, although its China release was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Following the film's early Digital release, SONIC THE HEDGEHOG will be released on DVD/Blu-ray/4K Ultra HD on May 19, 2020.
