As Hollywood continues to secure the rights to damn-near every promising comics property under the sun, it's been announced by THR that Paramount has acquired the rights to Kill Them All, a graphic novel by Kyle Starks. The studio has paired the newly-revealed project with TEKKEN co-producer and A CERTAIN JUSTICE writer James Coyne, with Josh Appelbaum (MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 4 – GHOST PROTOCOL) and Andre Nemec (TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: OUT OF THE SHADOWS) on-board to produce.
Billed as a love letter to tried-and-true action films of the 1990s, KILL THEM ALL tells a tale of a betrayed murderess wants revenge, and a hard drinking former cop who wants his job back. For either to get what they want, they’re going to have to fight their way through fifteen flights of criminals, assassins, drug lords, murderers, yup, even accountants, and… KILL. THEM. ALL.
Ah, so this joint sounds as if it's got a RAID: REDEMPTION or JOHN WICK vibe to it. I can groove on that.
Before the book was acquired by Oni Press – the publishers of such comic book titles as Lucky Penny, Queen & Country, My Boyfriend is a Bear, The Sixth Gun, Scott Pilgrim – Kill Them All was a Kickstarter success, as fans of Starks' Sexcastle series were eager to throw down.
