Someone contact Eddie Money because Stephen Dorff and Blake Jenner have just been given two tickets to Paradise. And by that, I mean Paradise City, an upcoming action flick starring John Travolta and Bruce Willis.
We've waited so long for Travolta and Willis to reteam since the duo starred in Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction. In the film, Willis plays a renegade bounty hunter named Ryan Swan, who must carve his way through the Hawaiian crime world to wreak vengeance on the kingpin, played by Travolta, who murdered his father. Smoke on the street suggests that the movie will play like Miami Vice but with bounty hunters instead of cops. Thai actress Praya Lundberg will also star. The nature of Dorff and Jenner's roles is being kept under wraps. Chuck Russell directs.
Corey Large, who has written and produced several Bruce Willis action flicks, including the recent Cosmic Sin, is co-writing Paradise City along with Ed John Drake, and will also star in the film as one of Willis' bounty-hunting buddies. Director Chuck Russell is best known for helming A Nightmare on Elm Street 3, The Blob, The Mask, Eraser, and The Scorpion King. Production is slated to kick off this Monday in Maui, Hawaii.
Can Paradise City put Travolta and Willis back in the spotlight? Will their chemistry be as electric as it used to be? I must admit that I'm curious to find out.
