Panic TV Interviews: Lauren Oliver, Olivia Welch & more on Amazon YA show

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Have you ever dreamed of getting the hell out of where you spent your formative years? Whether you are growing up in a small town and express a desire for big city lights, or the opposite, many have been there. And in the new Amazon Prime series Panic, we get a little glimpse at how desperate one can get when in that situation. Not only is the series based on the work of Lauren Oliver, but this talented writer is also bringing this story to life in a 10-episode series as an executive producer and showrunner. Panic features Olivia Welch, Mike Faist, Camron Jones, Ray Nicholson, Jessica Sula, and more.

We recently sat down with this fine group of actors, as well as Ms. Oliver herself. First up, we spoke with Olivia Welch and Jessica Sula. The two opened up about connecting to the characters they portray, as well as working with Lauren on the project. In addition to that, we stopped to chat with both Ray Nicholson and Camron Jones. Much like their co-stars, they discussed how they got involved in the project, and we had a little fun with Ray's portrayal of Ray Hall who has an intriguing growth as the bad boy of the bunch.

Finally, we sat down with the very talented Lauren Oliver. The first time I became aware of her work is when the film version of her novel Before I Fall came out. And I'm happy to say she is an absolute delight. She opened up about how deeply this particular project meant to her, and how she related to these cool characters that she brought to life. If you want to see some action, a ton of solid performances, and a cool concept, make sure you check out Panic beginning this Friday on Amazon Prime.
