Pacific Rim: The Black anime series coming to Netflix in March

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Two years have passed since Netflix first announced that they were working on an anime series set in the world of Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim (watch it HERE) and Steven S. DeKnight's Pacific Rim: Uprising (watch that one HERE), and now we finally know when Netflix subscribers are going to be able to watch the show. Pacific Rim: The Black is set to reach the streaming service on March 4.

The series is coming to us from Legendary Entertainment and Polygon Pictures, with Craig Kyle and Greg Johnson serving as showrunners. The story centers on

two siblings – an idealistic teenage boy and his naïve younger sister – who are forced to pilot an abandoned Jaeger across a hostile landscape in a desperate attempt to find their missing parents.

Here's another synopsis:

Long ago, humanity defeated the Kaiju. Now, they’re evacuating Australia. Join a pair of siblings and their battered, long-abandoned Jaegar as they battle across a continent of danger.

I'm not a big fan of anime, but I've watched the Pacific Rim movies so I figure I might as well watch this, too.
