I really wanted to go a see Bad Robot and producer J.J. Abrams' WWII horror flick OVERLORD (pre-order HERE) starring Wyatt Russell (Kurt Russell's son) when it hit last year. After all, the movie is a rare monster these days: an original big-budget R-rated horror movie. We need to support these!

Sadly it was yet again another movie I missed in theaters. But it's all good as today we have word that the movie will be landing on Digital and on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD via Paramount next month. You can check out the Blu-ray cover art below along with a full list of special features, which include a bunch of featurettes such as The Horrors of War, Creation, Death Above, Death Below, Death No More, and Brothers in Arms.

The film begins

On the eve of D-Day, American paratroopers drop behind enemy lines to penetrate the walls of a fortified church and destroy a radio transmitter. As the soldiers approach their target, they soon begin to realize that there's more going on in the Nazi-occupied village than a simple military operation. Making their way to an underground lab, the outnumbered men stumble upon a sinister experiment that forces them into a vicious battle against an army of the undead.

The sci-fi-action-horror film was produced by J.J. Abrams and directed by Julius Avery (SON OF A GUN) from a screenplay written by Billy Ray (THE HUNGER GAMES) and Mark L. Smith (THE REVENANT). The film stars Wyatt Russell, Bokeem Woodbine, Jovan Adepo, Jacob Anderson, Dominic Applewhite, Pilou Asbaek, Iain de Caestecker, John Magaro, and Mathilde Ollivier.
