Our newest look at Cheetah from Wonder Woman 1984 is here in LEGO form

After pushing WONDER WOMAN 1984 to an August release due to the coronavirus pandemic, Warner Bros. and The Lego Group have revealed a new build-a-brick playset that's bound to have superhero fans shouting "Suffering Sappho!" Okay, so maybe those aren't the exact words they'd use, but I think you get my point. The new set, titled "Wonder Woman vs Cheetah," displays Diana clad in her golden armor while squaring off against villains Cheetah and Maxwell Lord. What's more is that the superhero beatdown looks to be taking place in the jungle, in and around a fortified structure that houses a massive, gold-colored satellite dish.

According to some leaked details for the film, this set does indeed depict an epic moment from the upcoming film. That said, we've no idea at what point in the movie that the scene takes place, or why Cheetah appears to be sporting a mane of white hair for the newly-revealed Lego set. Could the stark feature be a part of Barbara Minerva's transformation? I would say that's a pretty good guess. Like, almost a guaranteed thing, I mean who are we kidding, right? Unless maybe she gets hit by lightning at some point in the film. It's entirely possible. Just watch the trailer.

Recently it was announced that WONDER WOMAN 1984 would not be going straight to VOD, despite the need to postpone the film from its original theatrical release.

“When we greenlit WW 1984 it was with every intention to be viewed on the big screen and are excited to announce that Warner Bros. Pictures will be bringing the film to theaters on August 14th. We hope the world will be in a safer and healthier place by then,” said Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group Chairman Toby Emmerich as part of a recent statement.

Alas, fans of DC's warrior princess will have to wait until August 14 to travel back to the '80s for another adventure featuring the Goddess of Truth. While the wait is most unfortunate, I'm positive that if Wonder Woman were more than a fictional icon, she'd want us all to remain at home, rather than becoming vectors for a potentially lethal disease that is sweeping the globe.
