Original ending of Friday the 13th Part 3 revealed in unearthed pics

Jason Voorhees has delivered a lot of memorable kills in the long-running FRIDAY THE 13TH series, but what you may not know is that there have been many excised shots, alternate cuts, and deleted scenes that have hit the cutting room floor throughout the franchise's history. Today we have a real cool Halloween treat for ya from the folks at FridayThe13thFranchise.com that features the original Chris Higgins (Dana Kimmel) beheading ending of FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 3.

Billy Kirkus has uncovered still photography from the original ending of FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 3 that detail the beheading of the Chris Higgins character and how it was intended to end the film. It's quite the find and fans of the film and the series will get a kick out of these unearthed pics. What I wouldn't give to see the actual footage (if it still exists) of this scene!

I just want to add that Richard Brooker was utterly terrifying as Jason Voorhees in FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 3, a film I recently revisited. The film is still a lot of fun, even with the ending we're all familiar with. This original ending shown in the pics below would've been a blast to see in the film.
