The first trailer for Operation Fortune: Ruse de guerre has been released and it features Guy Ritchie doing what he does best with Jason Statham leading a fun ensemble cast on an undercover mission to save the world.
Per the film’s official synopsis, “Super spy Orson Fortune (Jason Statham) must track down and stop the sale of a deadly new weapons technology wielded by billionaire arms broker Greg Simmonds (Hugh Grant). Reluctantly teamed with some of the world’s best operatives (Aubrey Plaza, Cary Elwes, Bugzy Malone), Fortune and his crew recruit Hollywood’s biggest movie star Danny Francesco (Josh Hartnett) to help them on their globe-trotting undercover mission to save the world.”
The screenplay for the film was written by Ivan Atkinson, Marn Davies, and Guy Ritchie and principal photography began on January 14, 2021, with filming taking place in Antalya, Turkey, Farnborough, and Qatar. The movie was originally shooting under the working title Five Eyes before it was officially renamed Operation Fortune: Ruse de guerre in September 2021.
