Official trailer for Shane Carruth’s Upstream Color further blurs reality

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

After a pair of teasers, here comes the official trailer for Shane Carruth’s brain-busting new thriller UPSTREAM COLOR. I gave it a look, felt the impending migraine at about the minute mark, then mercifully retreated. See underneath if you can fare better in this weird cinematic endurance trial.

Starring Andrew Sensenig, Amy Seimetz (below), Brina Palencia, Mollie Milligan, Juli Erickson, Ted Ferguson and Kerry McCormick – UPSTREAM COLOR finds:

A man and woman drawn together, entangled in the life cycle of an ageless organism. Identity becomes an illusion as they struggle to assemble the loose fragments of wrecked lives.

Word is Carruth is self-distributing the film, which is set for an April 5th release in NYC. Carruth will then four-wall the picture in 20 other cities, much like Kevin Smith did with RED STATE. Should give you an idea of the esoteric nature of the film itself.

Try to enjoy!
