We're all pretty much familiar with the setup for the PARANORMAL ACTIVITY films: someone has video camera, strange shite begins happening, we bear witness to some supernatural shenanigans, a few jump scares here and there…hey, it's tried-and-true found-footage filmmaking that has made the PARANORMAL ACTIVITY series and Paramount millions, so why change it up?
Today we have 2 new stills from the upcoming PARANORMAL ACTIVITY: THE MARKED ONES, which is set to haunt theaters January 3, 2014, and if you've caught any of the trailers for the flick then these new stills will be as familiar to you as the setup to the previous flicks. While I'd rather see something new in the week leading up to the films release, I'll take what I can get for now.
Here's hoping that PARANORMAL ACTIVITY: THE MARKED ONES will at least stray off the all-too-familiar beaten path and deliver something different, even though I'm worried it'll just be more of the same.
After being “marked,” Jesse begins to be pursued by mysterious forces while his family and friends try to save him.
Christopher Landon wrote and directed THE MARKED ONES, which stars Richard Cabral, Carlos Pratts, Eddie J. Fernandez, Jorge Diaz, David Fernandez Jr., Kimberly Ables Jindra, Tonja Kahlens and Frank Salinas. It hits theaters on January 3rd.
