Odenkirk and Cross team for new Netflix sketch series With Bob and David

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Exciting news for fans of HBO’s Mr. Show as Netflix has announced a new sketch comedy series from Bob Odenkirk and David Cross. The series, titled From Bob and David, will be an all new riff on their comedy stylings. The new series is announced twenty years after their original HBO series debuted. The two released the following synopsis for the new show.

After being dishonourably discharged from the Navy Seals, Bob and David are back serving our country the way they do best, making sketch comedy. Four half-hours of brand new comedy featuring all new characters, all new scenes, and most importantly, all new wigs.

While both actors are known for supporting roles over the years, Cross grew in popularity from his role on Arrested Development while Odenkirk gained a fanbase thanks to his role as Saul Goodman on the AMC series Breaking Bad and his own spin-off, Better Call Saul. He also had a supporting role on FX’s Fargo. Both actors are incredibly talented and this new series should be something to remember.

Netflix has been on a roll with their original series in recent years with Orange is the New Black, House of Cards, and the soon to premiere Daredevil. While With Bob and David has just entered production, expect to see it sooner rather than later.
