Obliterated trailer: Soldiers with a wicked hangover try to stop a nuclear attack in Vegas for Netflix’s new action-comedy series

People say, “what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas,” but what if what’s happening is a five-kiloton nuclear bomb and the team sent to disarm it is hungover to all hell? Welcome to Netflix‘s Obliterated trailer, featuring a misfit band of elite soldiers who, after saving the day, party like Prince told them to party like it’s 1999. The only problem is the bomb they deactivated is a fake, and the actual explosive is armed and ready to blow if they don’t get their sh*t together.

Obliterated is a new high-octane action-comedy series from directors Jon Hurwitz (Cobra Kai) and Hayden Schlossberg (Cobra Kai).

Launching November 30Obliterated “tells the story of an elite special forces team who thwarts a deadly threat to Las Vegas. After their celebratory party, filled with booze, drugs, and sex, the team discovers that the bomb they deactivated was a fake. The now intoxicated team has to fight through their impairments, overcome their personal issues, find the real bomb, and save the world.”

Hurwitz and Schlossberg direct, with Shelley Hennig (UnfriendedOuija), Nick Zano (The Final DestinationLegends of Tomorrow), C. Thomas Howell (The Outsiders, The Hitcher), Kimi Rutledge (Half SistersThe Wayfare), Paola Lázaro, Terrence Terrell (Lethal WeaponWu-Tang: The American Saga), Alyson Gorske (Meteor MoonDevil’s Triangle), and Eugene Kim (The Lincoln LawyerBrooklyn Nine-Nine) as series regulars. Hurwitz, Schlossberg, and Josh Heald are the writers and showrunners for Obliterated, with Hurwitz, Schlossberg, Heald, and Dina Hiller executive producing.

In Netflix’s Obliterated trailer, elite soldiers figure they’ve earned a night of debauchery after a job well done. When they discover the actual bomb is still active, they must bid the booze, strippers, and camels farewell in favor of murder and mayhem. Have you ever tried sniping a target from a highrise window with a snoot full of cocaine? What about defusing a nuclear device after a night of too many shots? I don’t recommend it. Unfortunately for the cast of Obliterated, they’re left with little choice but to gather their wits and use every trick in the book to complete the mission.

Obliterated explodes onto Netflix on November 30. Let us know your thoughts on today’s Obliterated trailer in the comments section below.
