If you missed the first season of AMC's NOS4A2, a series adaptation of the best-selling novel by Stephen King's son Joe Hill, you have just under two months to catch up on it before season 2 hits the airwaves (and you can pick up a copy HERE).
It has been announced that NOS4A2 season 2 will be simulcast on AMC and BBC America, with the first episode scheduled to air on June 1st.
Executive produced by Hill and showrunner Jami O'Brien, the show stars Zachary Quinto and Ashleigh Cummings. The first season had the following synopsis:
Vic McQueen (Ashleigh Cummings) is a gifted young woman who discovers she has a supernatural ability to find lost things. Charlie Manx (Zachary Quinto) is a supernatural villain who feeds off the souls of children and then deposits what remains of them into Christmasland — a twisted place of Manx’s imagination where every day is Christmas Day and unhappiness is against the law. Vic strives to defeat Manx and rescue his victims — without losing her mind or falling victim to him herself.
The ten episode second season will pick up
eight years after the events of Season 1. Vic McQueen (Cummings) remains more determined than ever to destroy Charlie Manx (Quinto). Charlie, having faced his own mortality, emerges desperate for revenge against Vic. This time, he sets his sights on the person who means most to Vic – her eight-year-old son Wayne. The race for Wayne’s soul sends Vic and Charlie on a high-speed collision course, forcing both to confront the mistakes of their pasts in order to secure a hold on Wayne’s future.
Quinto and Cummings are joined in the cast by Jahkara Smith, Olafur Darri Olafsson, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Virginia Kull, Jonathan Langdon, Ashley Romans, Jason David, and Mattea Conforti.
I haven't watched the first season yet myself, so I'm going to have to catch up on this show in the next couple months.
