NOS4A2 featurette dives into the action-packed second season

Based on Joe Hill's best-selling novel of the same name, NOS4A2 follows Vic McQueen (Ashleigh Cummings), a young woman with the supernatural ability to track Charlie Manx (Zachary Quinto), an immortal creature who feeds on the souls of children and deposits what remains of them into Christmasland – a twisted place of Manx's imagination where every day is Christmas Day and unhappiness is against the law. The first season of the AMC series found Vic striving to defeat Manx and rescue his victims without losing her mind or falling victim to him herself.

A new featurette for the second season of NOS4A2 has been released by AMC, which sheds a little light on how the show will evolve in its sophomore outing. "We spent a lot of time last season establishing the world and spending time with the characters, which I loved, this season is a bit more like, pedal to the medal; we go straight into the action," said Ashleigh Cummings in the featurette. The new season takes place eight years after the events of the first season and features Wayne, Vic's eight-year-old son, who becomes the focal point of a new battle between Vic and Manx as they've forced to "confront the mistakes of their pasts ini order to secure a hold on Wayne's future."

NOS4A2, based on Joe Hill’s bestselling novel of the same name, tells the story of Charlie Manx, a seductive immortal who feeds off the souls of children, then deposits what remains of them into Christmasland – an icy, twisted Christmas village of Manx’s imagination where every day is Christmas Day and unhappiness is against the law. Manx finds his whole world threatened when a young woman in New England discovers she has a dangerous gift. Ashleigh Cummings will play Vic McQueen, a young, working-class artist whose creativity awakens a supernatural ability to track Manx (Zachary Quinto). What Vic lacks in social confidence, she makes up for in courage, humor, and tough-as-nails grit. She strives to defeat Manx and rescue his victims without losing her mind or falling victim to him herself.

The second season of NOS4A2 will debut on AMC on June 21st.
