When you're Jordan Peele, you can just drop the first poster for your next film without any explanation on Twitter and fans will respond. That's exactly what happened this morning as the writer and director unveiled the poster for his latest effort, Nope, described as "a new terror" from the Academy Award winner that stars Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer, and Steven Yeun.
Not much is known about Nope except for its cast and that it's a psychological horror-thriller written and directed by Peele and it hits screens on July 22, 2022. Much like Get Out and Us, the mystery surrounding his projects is what entices his fans and horror aficionados so I think most appreciate how vague the marketing is for his films until we absolutely need to know what's going on. You can check out the poster that was posted on Jordan Peele's Twitter page below!
It was revealed back in November of last year that Peele was writing and directing a new horror film that was set to be released by Universal Pictures on July 22, 2022. In February of this year, it was announced that Keke Palmer and Daniel Kaluuya, the latter reuniting with Peele after starring in Get Out, had joined the cast. Jesse Plemons was also offered a role but he turned down the project to star in Martin Scorsese's Killers of the Flower Moon. It was then revealed back in March that Steven Yeun had also joined the cast. Principal photography on the film began on June 7, 2021, in Los Angeles.
What do YOU think Jordan Peele's new film will be about? Nope hits screens on July 22, 2022.
