Brian DePalma’s erotic thriller PASSION debuts at TIFF this week and today we’ve got our first peek at the trailer for the film, starring Noomi Rapace and Rachel McAdams. It’s got a lot of the DePalma-isms littered throughout, so afficianodo’s should be pleased. However, it’s been a long time since he’s knocked one out of the park. PASSION seems to be riding on the chemistry of it’s two stars, which looks to be the right temperature. You won’t have to twist my arm to watch any of the steamy scenes between the two.
Have a look:
Here’s the synopsis from TIFF:
A loose remake of Alain Corneau’s 2010 French film “Love Crime,” which starred Ludivine Sagnier and Kristin Scott-Thomas, the film centers around two women: Christine (McAdams) an elegant, ice-cool blonde career woman who holds a senior position with a high-powered advertising agency; and her assistant Isabel (Rapace), a shy and reticent brunette who harbours a growing ambition.
PASSION is premiering at TIFF next month and is slated to hit theaters in France on February 13, 2013. I’m betting on a limited theaterical run and a big push on VOD when it hits U.S. shores.
