Noomi Rapace continues her string of unique film and character choices with her role in Black Crab, hitting Netflix this Friday, and now we have an interview with her about the project. Fresh off great recent turns in Lamb and You Won’t Be Alone, Rapace leads the cast of Black Crab, a Swedish action thriller set in a post-apocalyptic world torn apart by war.
Rapace’s character is one of the six soldiers that embarks on a covert mission across a frozen archipelago. They are all risking their lives to transport a mysterious package that could possibly end the war but, as they enter hostile enemy territory, they have no idea what dangers lie ahead or who, if anyone, they can trust.
When speaking to Rapace about her role in the film, it was clear she immediately connected with her character’s humanity. She’s on the mission to potentially be reunited with her daughter and she admitted during our interview that it was this singular goal that really drew her to the part. We also discussed working with co-writer and director Adam Berg, who made his feature film debut with this project, the extreme working conditions, and we touched on the film’s themes of war eerily mimicking the real-world circumstances we are facing now.
Hopefully, you enjoyed our interview with Noomi Rapace, and Black Crab hits Netflix this Friday, March 18, 2022.
