If you’re a fan of Arrow in the Head then chances are you know what The Saturn Awards are. The event comes around once a year to honor the best in sci-fi, fantasy, and horror. Academy Awards eat your heart out. But not really… Anyway the nominees for the 36th annual Saturn Awards have just been announced and it looks like we’ve got some interesting choices throughout!
The event is set to take place in Burbank, California on June 24th. Damn that’s a ways away huh? Some of the films/shows looking to clean up this year include AVATAR, DISTRICT 9, DEXTER, STAR TREK, WATCHMEN, LOST, MOON, THE LOVELY BONES and ZOMBIELAND among lots others. Let’s be honest though… Who didn’t see these flicks rounding things out? It’s awesome to see MOON and ZOMBIELAND with so many nominations though! Sam Rockwell for Best Actor? Yes! Woody Harrelson for Best Supporting Actor? YES! NEW MOON for Best Horror? Seriously WTF?! How is that even nominated?! Oh Saturn Awards…. just when I thought you loved me…
