Noah Hawley is one busy guy. Not only does the man serve as the showrunner for FX's FARGO but he was recently the man behind their killer superhero series LEGION. And while season four of FARGO is on its way starring Chris Rock, it looks like LEGION is reached the end of its run. And so FX has quickly snatched up another TV project for Hawley. This time its a horror show called THE BRIDGEWATER TRIANGLE.
The show will be based on a short story by Brian Miller and it follows this killer pitch:
Everyone’s heard of the Bermuda Triangle, but there’s a far more terrifying place known as The Bridgewater Triangle in southeastern Massachusetts. It’s an actual area of well-documented supernatural activity that covers 17 small towns and 200 square miles of New England. The Bridgewater Triangle is an apocalyptic horror thriller set in these small towns. When a massive paranormal event strikes these 17 communities simultaneously, it turns these idyllic towns upside down and affects thousands of lives. Three estranged siblings must somehow survive and come together in the chaos as the only ones who can stop it.
Miller will be penning the pilot episode while Hawley will be producing THE BRIDGEWATER TRIANGLE with 26 Keys executive producing.
Now I don't know about you but this sounds like one killer pitch for a horror TV series. Very Stephen King if you will. And I'm especially excited about the show's possibilities considering Hawley is behind the whole shebang. After all, FARGO season 2 starring Patrick Wilson (see above) is one of the greatest seasons to ever hit TV. Ever. Hyperbole? Go ahead and give it a watch ASAP and then get back to me on that one.
In the meantime, you can check out the LEGION season three trailer below. It's wild.
