No Time to Die: Naomie Harris talks Moneypenny and if she’d return to the role

I was recently in London to celebrate the upcoming release of No Time to Die on Blu-ray (it’s out tomorrow, December 21st), and man, what a fantastic trip it was! I got to take a boat ride down the Thames pointing out the James Bond landmarks; I got to test drive a Landrover Defender, participate in a recreation of the film’s iconic car chase and more. Check it out:

I also got a chance to interview some of the folks I missed when participating in the No Time to Die junket, and one of my most hoped-for interviews, with the great Naomie Harris, finally happened. Naomie, of course, plays the ultra-modern version of Moneypenny and has done a brilliant job reimagining the role for a new generation. She also happened to be my first in-person interview in two years (thanks to COVID), and it was a delight sitting across from her, as she’s not only a brilliant actress but an extremely friendly person to boot. In our interview, she discussed the ongoing legacy of the series, what it was like being there for Daniel Craig’s final outing as James Bond and where she hopes the franchise goes from here. A fun thing I pointed out – Naomi has been in two of the biggest movies of the pandemic, No Time to Die and Venom: Let There be Carnage. I think we’ll be seeing a ton more of her in the years to come – she’s the real deal. Heck, I hope they figure out a way to bring her back as Moneypenny because Harris herself seems game, as you’ll see in the interview embedded above!

More interviews to come from the No Time to Die junket. Pick up your copy of the latest Bond outing here!
