Warner Bros. Pictures has debuted a full trailer for Steven Soderbergh's new feature film No Sudden Move. Set in 1954, No Sudden Move centers on a group of small-time criminals who are hired to steal what they think is a simple document. When their plan goes horribly wrong, their search for who hired them – and for what ultimate purpose – weave them through all echelons of the race-torn, rapidly changing city.
Any detective worth their salt will tell you that the cast for this film is stacked. I'm talking about stars like Don Cheadle, Benicio Del Toro, David Harbour, Jon Hamm, Amy Seimetz, Brendan Fraser, Kieran Culkin, Noah Jupe, Craig muMs Grant, Julia Fox, Frankie Shaw, Ray Liotta, and Bill Duke, all getting in on the action.
Soderbergh directed the film from a screenplay written by Ed Solomon and produced by Casey Silver. Julie M. Anderson is an executive producer.
No Sudden Move will debut exclusively on HBO Max on Thursday, July 1, 2021. After all, we can't let the Fourth of July be the only reason fireworks are going off that weekend. If you ask me, the summer months could use a hard-boiled crime-thriller that has more cunning characters than the game of Clue.
