Nikolaj Coster-Waldau’s Horus is outnumbered in first Gods of Egypt clip

The first clip from Alex Proyas' GODS OF EGYPT has been released, and if you weren't sold on the film based on the trailers, well, I highly doubt it will change your mind. The clip sees Nikolaj Coster-Waldau's Horus, God of the Sky, confronting Chadwick Boseman's Thoth, God of Knowledge, and has some very cringe-worthy acting and dialogue. Maybe the rest of the movie won't be as bad as this clip, but I'm not going to get my hopes up.

In addition to (more than likely) being the subject of a future "Awfully Good" column, it doesn't seem like GODS OF EGYPT is going to be a big hit at the box office. Although it will probably do better in international markets, early predictions have the film earning around $14.5 million in its U.S. opening weekend and grossing just $34 million in its entire domestic theatrical run, which isn't great, especially for a movie with a reported budget of $140 million. Are you planning on checking out the mythological fantasy flick when it hits theaters later this month?

GODS OF EGYPT will be released on February 26th.
