Over the years, Brian De Palma has given us films such as CARRIE, SCARFACE, THE UNTOUCHABLES, MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE, and more, but recent years have seen the director's output decrease amid mixed reviews. De Palma's last film was the erotic-thriller PASSION all the way back in 2012, and he's finally back with DOMINO, an action-thriller which stars Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Game of Thrones) as Christian, a Copenhagen police officer seeking justice after his partner is murdered by an ISIS agent. Thrown into a game of cat and mouse with a duplicitous CIA agent (Guy Pearce), Christian is soon racing against the clock in his quest to seek revenge as well as save his own life.
While the trailer looks promising enough, Brian De Palma doesn't seem to be the biggest fan of his time with DOMINO, as he told The Playlist last year that working on the film was a "horrible experience." The director added, "Domino is not my project, I did not write the script… I never experienced such a horrible movie set. A large part of our team has not even been paid yet by the Danish producers." In a world wracked by terror and suspicion, Copenhagen police officer, Christian (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), seeks justice for his partner’s murder by an ISIS member named Imran. On the hunt for the killer, Christian and a fellow cop are unwittingly caught in a cat and mouse chase with a duplicitous CIA agent (Guy Pearce) who is using Imran as a pawn to trap other ISIS members. Soon Christian is racing against the clock – not only seeking revenge, but to save his own life.
