Netflix has released a batch of images that give us our first look at their upcoming release Night Teeth, which has been described as an “electric, youth-driven thriller with a genre twist”. Directed by Adam Randall (I See You), the film stars Debby Ryan (Jessie, Insatiable), Lucy Fry (Bright, Wolf Creek), Raúl Castillo (We the Animals, Army of the Dead), Alfie Allen (John Wick, The Predator), Alexander Ludwig (Vikings, The Final Girls), Sydney Sweeney (Euphoria, Sharp Objects), Megan Fox (Jennifer’s Body, Rogue), and Jorge Lendeborg Jr. (Alita: Battle Angel, Bumblebee).
Night Teeth will be available to watch on the Netflix streaming service as of October 20th.
This is the first produced screenplay for writer Brent Dillon. The story takes place over the course of one night in Los Angeles. Lendeborg Jr. plays the role of
a young chauffeur who drives two beautiful young women to five different parties and finds himself fighting for his life after he discovers they’re not who they claim to be. This is a film about three young people stuck together for the night. Within the confines of this vehicle, it’s the changing relationships; the suspicion, attraction and threat are all part of it.
The synopsis doesn’t give it away, but with a title like Night Teeth I think we all already know that some of the characters in this story will turn out to be vampires.
Night Teeth was produced by Ben Pugh and Charlie Morrison of 42 and Vincent Gatewood of Unique Features, while Unique Features’ Bob Shaye, best known for being the founder of New Line Cinema (and for appearing as himself in Wes Craven’s New Nightmare), serves as executive producer alongside 42’s Erica Steinberg.
I’m already on board to check this movie out when it’s released, but I look forward to seeing more in a trailer first.
