At the upcoming European Film Market, XYZ Films will be handling worldwide sales (excluding Canada, Australia, and New Zealand) for writer/director Danis Goulet's apocalyptic sci-fi thriller Night Raiders, which was executive produced by Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok, What We Do in the Shadows, Jojo Rabbit).
Starring Elle-Maija Tailfeathers, Amanda Plummer, Brooklyn Letexier-Hart, Alex Tarrant, Violet Nelson, and Gail Maurice, Night Raiders is set in the year 2043, when
a military occupation controls disenfranchised cities in North America and children are property of the state. The female-driven dystopian story follows a woman who joins an underground band of vigilantes to infiltrate a "children's academy" and get her daughter back.
Sounds like this could be pretty interesting. I was already sold when they said Waititi was involved.
Paul Barkin, Tara Woodbury, Georgina Condor, Chelsea Winstanley, and Ainsley Gardiner are producing Night Raiders, with Noah Segal, Adrian Love, Tim White, Lisa Meeches, and Kyle Irving serving as executive producers alongside Waititi.
